Packaging Tips

Packaging Tips

  1. Use a rigid box with flaps intact.
  2. Make sure the size of your box is appropriate to the content. Overloaded boxes may burst; under-filled boxes are likely to collapse.
  3. Make sure to choose box strong enough to hold the full weight of your consignment, made of corrugated cardboard and with good quality outer liners. Use heavy duty, double-layered cardboard for valuable items.
  4. Remove any labels, hazardous materials indicators, and other previous shipment markings on the box that are no longer applicable.
  5. Use adequate cushioning material. Do not use shredded newspapers, towels or blankets as they are not suitable for packaging.
  6. Use strong tape designed for shipping (at least 28mm width). Do not use strings, ropes, ribbons, sellotape, masking tape or paper over-wrap.
  7. Wrap all items separately. Do not strap boxes together.
  8. Use a single address label that has clear, complete delivery and return information.
  9. Place fragile goods in the centre of your package, ensuring that they do not touch the sides. Use cardboard dividers when sending flat, fragile material (such as LCD panels, motherboards etc).
  10. Please note all packaging material sent with the machine may be disposed of and recycled on the day of arrival.
